Over the past three years, I had the immense honor of working on the documentary series "DJ MEHDI : MADE IN FRANCE" as a Motion designer but mostly as Animation & FXs supervisor.
This project is a vibrant tribute to the life of legendary producer DJ Mehdi, a key figure of the French Touch.
It allowed me to explore what kind of expression would be perfect for the documentary support, and how to merge my work flawlessly in this show. We worked hard and non-stop but we succeeded to create a beautiful show were the editing, the music and the Motion Graphics/FXs serve perfectly the story and the character.

At the start of the project, Matteo CAVARRA and I focused on adding physicality and depth to the animation of the archives, developing a cohesive and distinctive artistic direction for all the episodes.
Through meticulous work on rare archives — videos, photos, posters, and artworks — we developed custom visual systems to bring this unique cultural heritage to life. This project gave me the opportunity to dive deep into the connection between motion design and documentary storytelling.
From vintage family albums to double exposures on video, and parallax effects creating depth , each photo, album or press was reimagined to enrich the storytelling .
